The Earth Hero
Dependable, steadfast and loyal, Toro is what most would call a typical tanuki. He spent the majority of his life being expected to fill the mayoral position as is custom for tanukis in Ashihara Village...but things didn't quite work out that way. He is fiercely attached to Mayor Tengan, working under him as the deputy mayor. Although loveable, he can come off as rather simple.

ABOUT
Toro is the youngest member of a long line of tanukis, tracing all the way back to Ashihara's first mayor Tanboro. As such, ever since he was born, Toro was destined to follow in the pawsteps of his ancestors by becoming mayor. However, a wrench was thrown into those expectations when the old mayor died and a stranger appeared in the village the very same day, quickly taking the position. It was a clear sign, the villagers had said, so Toro settled for the role of deputy mayor under Tengan.

As much as he tries to convince himself that this is what he wants, Toro can't help but feel a pull in the other direction.​
